The Veneto region borders to Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in the northeast, Trentino-South Tyrol in the northwest, Lombardy in west and Emilia-Romagna in the south.

Venice, the City of Canals, is world known and it is a place everyone, that has the opportunity, should experience at least once in a lifetime. Less known is perhaps the beach resorts east of the city; Lido di Jesolo, Cavallino and Bibione. These are places that come to life during the summer months and they offer wide, clean and sandy beaches and an energetic Italian holiday life.

Part of the popular Lake Garda is also located in the Veneto region, and cities such as Verona and Padove, an old university city, is definitely worth a visit. Verona is known for its opera La Scala and is also the inspiration to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
